Last night we went to Alamo Heights Night. This is a Fiesta Event in San Antonio that takes place in one of San Antonio’s nicest neighborhoods: Alamo Heights. In my opinion, this is the most relaxed Fiesta event, which is a plus when you’re rollin’ with your pregnant wife!
It was a great time. Although rain threatened, it never really came down. I saw lots of old friends, checked out a few of the bands they had playing, and enjoyed a few beers (knowing that I had my “driver” with me)
Fiesta goes for about 2 weeks in April, and is a really nice time to be in San Antonio. It’s not too hot, and that obligation to celebrate is in the air… thank you Mexico for bringing this idea north!
There are all kinds of local vendors serving food and drinks, and the prices were actually pretty reasonable: $4 for a beer, $3-5 for food. Admission was $10, but you can get tickets in advance at the San Antonio grocery chain, HEB.
